  1. I am a big Bruce fan and was at the show last night in Detroit, but was completely let down. What is up with him not playing the majority of the songs that made him famous/rich in the first place? There was no Rosalita, The River, Hungry Heart, Born in the USA, Jungle Land, Back Streets, My Hometown, Streets of Philadelphia, etc? I know all of those songs may not be everyone’s favorites, but that is what Bruce is known for! For him not to play at least half of those songs is a complete joke. Also, when the girl started rapping in that terrible song Rocky Ground, I was about to leave the concert. Bruce, if you want to try to raise money for the hungry like you talked about in that song, play all of your hits and I will gladly pay $50 extra a ticket. I will tell everyone that asks me to never spend money to see Bruce unless he is going to play the majority of his jams. He should have just stuck with his lame Pete Seger tribute tour like he did years ago so I would have never purchased the ticket in the first place. He needs to take some tips from Bob Seger. When Seger tours, he plays all of his hits but also sprinkles in his new songs between them. I understand it’s all about driving revenue on their new CD’s, but Seger does it the right way. Bruce tries to force his new BS down your throat when all you want to hear is songs from his Born to Run and The River albums. The show was a complete let down.

  2. Thied show in five years. Only 23 so never got to see him in his big heyday. Absolutely blown away by this show. As backstreets magazine put it, this show was just “on” – the crowd was HOT(much better than his past two shows at thepalace) while Bruce and the band just rocked straight through through over three hours with ease. Detroit isn’t a really diehard market for him, so the crowd reaction to, say, Incident wasn’t as electric, but c’mon…we got to hear Incident! Ticket was about 35 bucks behind the stage and would gladly do it again.

  3. Wow! I’m not sure where “Jeff” was… Obviously he’s not a TRUE Springsteen fan. “Jeff”, the Point of this tour is to promote Wrecking Ball, If you want to hear the old songs buy the old albums! As far as I’m concerned, and I am a die hard 34 year Boss Fan, it was one of the best shows ever! I do consider myself the luckiest girl at the concert… Bruce gave my daughters his guitar pick & harmonica… Came to us and danced, hugged, kissed, and allowed us to sing with him. After the concert he gave them his autograph and we were lucky to talk with him and have our picture taken with him. It was a dream come true for this Jersey Girl and daughters!

  4. I think I know what Jeff’s problem was with the show. Back in ’99 I got tickets to see Springsteen for my first time. I had his greatest hits album and loved every song on the album. I get to the show and he only sings 3 songs from that album. I must say I was hugely disappointed. But what I didnt realize was that he had so many hits that I was unfamiliar with. I borrowed a couple albums from my dad, seen a few concets on tv and decided to give him another shot. So back in 09 my dad and I drove to Milwaukee for his show. It was one of the best nights of my life. My dad and I were blown away. I was so mad at myself for missing out on a great show back in ’99. I look at the setlist from that night and think damn I was an idiot. Anyway we made a promise that we would go to as many shows as we could afford from now on. We thought no way could he top the Milwaukee show but we were definately wrong on that. I look at the setlist of every show and to this day I think this was the best show of the tour. Only song I missed that I would have loved to hear was Talk to Me. His Tampa show was a close second. He did play alot of material from his new album but thats because his new album has so many great songs. My advice to you Jeff is expand your catalog. The majority of fans are calling this show great.
